NFL Preseason Week 2 Picks
NFL Preseason is the biggest tease for any sports fan. 4 weeks straight of slightly mediocre football that will show the smallest of regular season football greatness. Yes it’s football, but it isn’t quite the same. And yet suckers like me will still lay down money in order to get the fix we need because it may be the most boring sports weekend this summer. So without further ado, I will try to find the best bets for this weekend.
NFL: I have 3 games that peaked my interest for this day from football
Indianapolis Colts at Dallas Cowboys(-5), O/U39
Pick: Cowboys -5, The Colts backups STUNK in the first game. No Andrew Luck in sight, their O Line is simply horrendous. They got their asses handed to them at home. I just don’t see it. While we could see the Cowboys play Dak and Dez a little and that might be enough in itself. I just don’t see the Colts being able to score much at all.
New York Jets at Detroit Lions(-4.5), O/U 37.5
Pick: Lions -4.5, The Lions looked good playing the Colts last week. Even having rookie U graduate Brad Kayaa joining in the scoring fun. The Jets are just as bad as the Colts are. -4.5 at home should be a blowout win for the Lions while the Jets have a 3rd stringer in Hackenberg getting all the snaps.
Chicago Bears at Arizona Cardinals(-2), )O/U 40.5
Pick: Bears +2, Even after that highlight show that Trubisky attempted in the first preseason game, he still is fighting for that first spot. As a rookie, it’s all about having to prove yourself. But let’s be honest, they looked as good as they can be while he was on the field. On the other hand, the Cardinals are an older team with a bunch of veterans who are going to be resting more than they’re playing compared to the Bears. This preseason is the Bears playoffs. I like the Bears.
Premier League: Huddersfield/Newcastle BTTS
Italy Serie A: Lazio -1, Atalanta/Roma BTTS
Spain La Liga: Real Madrid -1
Austria Bundesliga: Salzburg -1
Croatia HNL: Dinamo Zagreb -1
And that was talking soccer. I’ll have more plays tomorrow for football and baseball. Again, this weekend has been slow. This is the only way I can stay sane.
